-In Loving Memory of Jenna Silva-
Mike & Crystal Silva's oldest daughter, Jenna, passed away on September 20, 2024, after a courageous three and a half year journey with stage four colon cancer. She is now in heaven with her Savior, free from pain and full of peace.
Jenna's beautiful life was marked by her radiant joy, her love for her family and friends, and her devotion to sharing the love of Jesus with the world.
Deepest thanks to those who have given an outpouring of love, prayer & support. For all who knew and loved her, we hold onto the promise that, though we grieve, we do not grieve without hope (1 Thessalonians 4:13), for we will see Jenna again in the presence of our Lord.

From day one of Jenna’s diagnosis in April 2021, until the day the Lord called her home, Jenna wanted to make it count. Like dad, she had an evangelistic heart. She loved studying God’s Word (and LOVED studying the Names of God). Jenna was an incredibly gifted communicator (she was so much like dad!). Jenna was always sending dad ideas for his sermons. When they were together in a room brainstorming or dreaming…it was exhilarating! Jenna spent over a decade serving alongside dad and our MSI family. It was one of her greatest loves and passions in life.
Jenna also had a compassionate heart. She was compelled to help people and communities around the world living in poverty. Jenna’s vision extended to providing safe water sources like wells, distributing food and clothing, supporting orphanages, and engaging in disaster relief and aid. This desire to help others led to the launch of Help Nations in September 2019. A year and a half later Jenna found out she had stage four colon cancer which had metastasized to her liver and other major organs in her body. That diagnosis began a rollercoaster of a journey, halting all plans for Help Nations.
Although Jenna did not get to see her dream realized, the Help Nations Board of Directors is dedicated to carrying forward her legacy. I have had the great honor of sitting on the Board of Directors for Help Nations from day one. From the early stages of dreaming with Jenna to registering as an official Foreign Nonprofit Corporation, I have played an active role in Help Nations. The beauty of this standalone nonprofit is that whether people know the Lord or not, whether they have a heart for evangelism or not, it is an organization that compels human hearts to action and welcomes all to participate in making the world a better, brighter place...a vision Jenna not only envisioned but embodied. Like my sister, I have a deep awareness of the sufferings of so many around the world, and I wish to help.
So, together, with my fellow Board Members, I am committed to continuing Jenna’s dream and legacy to provide humanitarian compassion aid to peoples and communities around the world who are living in poverty, both international and domestic.
We invite those who feel led, to honor Jenna’s life by supporting the organizations she was so passionate about. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Help Nations and/or Mike Silva International .
Thank you for your outpouring of love and prayers for our family. Our greatest desire is that we continue to make it count.
Blessings,
-Delight Silva Abbott, for my family
